4 Month Update!

My baby girl is 4 months old today! Every month I say, "I can't believe she's ___ months old"! She just keeps growing and growing! I suppose that is what they do! Okay, on with the update and of course the pictures!

Let's see, developmentally she's really coming along I think....I guess, I don't really know what's normal but whatever! She's grabbing her feet, grabbing for things, trying to put her paci in her mouth, and trying to put everything in her mouth for that matter. She loves cups. Here lately everytime we drink from a glass (and she's sitting in our lap) she reaches for it, so we give her a sip or two from it. She just loves it and reaches for more. It's becoming an issue whenever we go out to eat and she's sitting in our laps, she's already knocked a glass out of our hands and split it! HA! Oh, and I know it only gets worse from here! =) Tummy time is a little easier for her. Although it's still definitely not her favorite. She's getting better at it though. I think it's because she is such a wiggle worm (seriously, my child is constantly wiggling!), I guess it makes her stronger or something. Who knows. And finally, she's teething! AHHHHHHH! She's started to get real real real fussy at night so we got her some teething gel and Motrin to ease the pain. It seems to help. Hopefully, her little teeth will come in soon!

Her personality is developing more and more each day. She's giggling a lot more. We love the giggling. I have to say a baby's giggle is one of the most precious sounds in the world! It melts my heart to hear her laugh! She's become scared of strangers. Well, I don't know if it's necessarily scared of strangers, but she doesn't want people she doesn't know holding her...that's for sure!! Oh, and she loves her momma!! That's me!! I love it!! No matter who's holding her, she'll look for me and when she finds me she won't take her eyes off of me. Am I really that cool Lyla?! =) I love being a mom. She loves her daddy too. He gives her the best baths. And when I say best baths I mean she has the most fun with him, I clean her the best...of course! But daddy's way more fun than mommy!

My smart girl!! Okay, on to her sleeping and pooping habits (ha ha...I know real nice huh?). I do believe they are improving. Just a little improvement, but a little is a lot when it comes to more sleep!! She's sleeping through the night more often, certainly not every night but she's getting there...I hope. She still loves to sleep with her mom and dad, of course but she seems to be sleeping longer and longer these days. She's eating a freaking ton, so I'd hope it helps her sleep better at night!! Oh, and my poor princess has the hardest time pooping. =( It is the saddest thing. Pooping is absolutely no fun for her. I have started to put Karo Syrup in almost every bottle she has in hopes of easing her discomfort. My Aunts recommended I use that. Anywho, her bowel movements will definitely be on the top of my list for discussion when we see her Pediatrician this coming up Wednesday at her 4 month checkup. I just want her to poop easier, that's all! Soooo, that's about all I can think of.
