Brazilian Birthday Dinner

Last night we celebrated my birthday at an amazing Brazilian Steakhouse! It was seriously one of the most delicious places I've ever been to! They had a huge salad buffet and then, when you were ready for the meat (and I'm talking a HUGE assortment of meat), then you flipped over your little card to green and they would start coming by your table to serve you! It was so cool and so good! They even had someone come around with chicken tenders on skewers for the kids! Lyla loved that. I have never felt so stuffed in my life, I think. And at the end, I got yummy creme brulee for dessert! My favorite!

Our usual picture before going out to dinner! We take this picture every time we are in SC before we go out to eat at a nice restaurant. :)

Rioz! Amazing!

Coming around with the meat! They had chicken, filet, lamb chop, sirloin, sausage, oh my! You name it, they had it!

This was Ly's "camera face" the whole night! Who knows why!

Here we are (with Ly's camera face, I told ya)!

Mimi and Pop Pop. We've had such a great time with them! Lyla with the Birthday girl! That'd be me! :) It's my birthday weekend!

Gift for the Grandparents

I was so so so excited about making something "homeade" for all of Ly's grandparents this Christmas. Well, then the stomach bug passed through our house and knocked us all out the week of Christmas when I was planning to complete the projects! Boo. I already bought all the stuff and I was planning on taking Ly somewhere pretty in town to take the pictures needed, but like I said, plans fell through. So, I packed up all the project stuff and took it up here with us to South Carolina so I could complete the project here! It was fun and Ly enjoyed the handprints part...alot. Ha! Of course, it's messy! Why wouldn't she love it?! :) Anywho, I tried to get scrap paper that matched their different personalities, ect... So here's the finished projects!
Mimi and Pop Pop's (My mom and Charlie):
Mammy and Papa (Rhett's parents)
Opa's (My dad):
Yep, so that's probably the last project you'll see from me in awhile! Ha! I'm just not a crafty person! It stresses me out and it's alot of work, and well...I don't like alot of extra work! I do however, love the finished products of projects so we'll see what I find on Pinterest...

Sweet Carolina

Oh boy! We're having fun in South Carolina with Mimi and Pop Pop! Let's see...Lyla loves Mimi's car (see above). She said, "No, MY car"! Um, I had no idea we'd have to deal with the whole car situation so soon. Ha ha. Just kidding. But one day, it'll be for real and I am so not looking forward to that. Eek. Anywho, the picture below is of Mimi and Pop Pop recording a book for Lyla. We bought this book a couple weeks ago and slowly have been getting family members (Opa, Mammy and Papa, Great Grammy and Granddaddy, Nana and Papaw, and Mimi and Pop Pop) to read pages from the book! She will love it! She got one from Mammy and Papa last year and she lovingly calls it her "Papa book". I can't wait til everyone's read it and we can start "reading" it to her at night! :)

Mimi has a cookie/candy table that Ly knows real well! See the cookies to the far right, the spin wheels? Those are MY FAVORITE EVER!! Mimi makes them every time we come because she knows how much I love them! I love Mimi for that. :)

My sweet girl with her pearl bracelets. My mom was telling me she was looking for play jewlery for Ly. She said she looked in the children's section and there was play jewelry for like 10-15$, so she checked out the women's section and got some "play" jewelry for 3$. Holla. That Mimi is so smart!

Lyla loves Buddy!

And Bebe!

This is such a cute picture! Pop Pop with the pups and Lyla!

Mimi, Pop Pop, and their Lyla Grace. Oh man, they love having her here. I swear when we leave here, Ly is going to be so spoiled it's going to be a nightmare to deal with!

I'm working on a project while here too. We were going to try and take some pictures today, but we were just so busy we never got to. I'll post more about this project later when it's done...but here is a "test" shot. I was just trying out some stuff! :)

Me and my girl!

Some wild animals for sure! :)

After a long day of fun, Ly's favorite thing is to climb on to Mimi and Pop Pop's bed and watch cartoons. Her new Build-A-Bear puppy, Chew Is, is next to her. Yes, that is the name of the puppy. We asked Ly several times just to be sure and that was what she wanted. We were joking that the only thing not girly about the puppy (who has pink roller skates, tennis shoes, a tutu, and bows) is the name! HA!
Anywho, we've been having a fabulous time! Mimi and Pop Pop are grilling steaks right now with Pop Pop's secrect seasoning recipe, so I had some down time to update!

Christmas in SC!

We made it to SC! Thank goodness!! 11 hours in a car is just torture! HA! Actually, Ly was really good and the ride went really smooth (no flat tires or breakdowns and no getting pulled over), so I should be thankful for that! We were so happy to see Mimi and Pop Pop when we got there! We jumped right to the presents because they wanted Ly to open all her presents! I don't blame them, Christmas with a little kid is just so fun! :) Ly loved opening all her presents...she loved the opening part and then she'd move on to the next. HA! But she also played Santa really well and handed out the presents to everyone. Rhett and I got a bunch of clothes (yay!) and Season 5 of Dexter! Here's my serial killer face below...

Oh what's this? Lyla got Mimi and Pop Pop Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 so that they could play online with her Mommy and Daddy. That Lyla, she's so thoughtful! :) Mimi was excited! Ha ha...
Oh boy, Ly's "big" present from Mimi and Pop Pop was a train set. She's so into trains and she opened it and said, "Oh wow! Choo choo"! She loves it. :)

After presents, Ly gave her baby a bath....

And Mimi "helped".

Lyla's cute new PJs!

And the pic below is this morning! We're ready for a new fun-filled day with Mimi and Pop Pop!!!

Maybe I''ll post again? Or maybe I'll wait until we're home! :)
