Fun with Friends (and Babies)!!

It's been a great couple of days with my great and amazing friends!
Monday on my lunch break at work (hence why there is no Lyla) I met Kristi, Jill & Kennedy, and Jo & Brant at Bagleheads. It was nice to see Kristi one more time before she left for Haiti! It's always so very sad to say goodbye to her, however I know that goodbye is never really goodbye for long. She'll back for a little while in August soooo, I can't wait to see her again!
I love these girls (and these babies) so very much! Kennedy was ready for a nap and to be honest, so was I! Work stinks! :)
I was so happy to see Baby Brant! He has grown soooo much and is such a sweetheart! He could pass for my baby, right?! :)
He could also pass for Kristi's baby! HA! Oh, Jo and I apparently have babies that look like they could be everyone elses baby but ours!
What's my biggest wish ever ever ever?! For Jo and Kristi to move back to Pensacola! Then we could all be together forever! :D So come on guys! Make my wish happen!
Tuesday night we met Jo & Brant and The Manny's at Vallartas for a yummy Mexican dinner in honor of Jo and Brant's last night here in Pensacola. Here are some pictures from the fun night....
SEE! My child could pass for Jo's baby! What is up with that?! :) Lyla saying hi to her cousin Brant...
All the babes! I was just looking at this picture and it really got to me how grown up we've become. These are our children! Look at them! It's so crazy!
The mamas!
Me with two of my very favorite mommy's! Rhett was watching the girls while they played in the rock pit... I mean, really?! Rocks. What's so interesting and fun about rocks?
They are BFF and are going to be in the same grade when they start school! More craziness when you think about it!
The papas! HA! Rhett is apparently sad to take pictures?
And apparently Justin missed his calling as a model! Whoo hoo!
My happy girl! She is so fun at this age! Speaking of which, she is 14 months old!
And finally, here's my husband and I! I am so happy because our lives (or at least his) are finally slowing down! We are able to spend much more time together now that baseball and football are in their downtime. That makes me the happiest girl ever! Seriously. Time with my family is my favorite thing ever.
Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Fun Sunny Days!

As usual, we had a pretty busy week/weekend! Busy, but fun nonetheless!
Thursday night we went to the Tate Baseball Banquet. We had a yummy meal and watched the little baseball boys get recognized for this years achievements.
Here we all are...ready for some yummy food! And yes, little Lyla is wearing a bracelet. She loves bracelets! She's a girly girl I guess. :)
Little Lyla Grace...I got her outfit from Ross for $4.99!! What a deal! I just had to share my savings.
I attended an Economic Empowerment Seminar at work that day and I picked up a free little piggy bank....which is now Lyla's first piggy bank. :) Gotta start that college fund early (or wedding fund)!
Friday night Lyla and I ate a delicious meal at Cock of the Walk with Kristi and Jordan (Kristi's niece)! After dinner we watched the duckies for awhile and then went to Kohl's and shopped a little...
THEN, Saturday was Girl's Day! Kristi, Jill, and I went to Waterville USA in Orange Beach, AL and we had an amazing time (but we missed you Jo Jo)! We went down fun slides, relaxed in the lazy river, played in the wave pool, and basically just got a lot of sun! And in my case, too much sun! Whoooo, I was hurting afterwards! But it was worth it. Anywho, we showered and got ready in the Waterville bathroom (which is just as classy as it sounds) and headed off to Lamberts! Home of the throwed rolls! Oh, it was so good! All in all we had a very lovely day! :) Now, I have pictures from Lamberts because I did not take my camera into Waterville. However, Kristi has a ton of pics from the waterpark so hopefully, she'll post them soon! :)
Here's Kristi, Jill, and I waiting to be seated at Lamberts!
Oh the yummy rolls were so worth the wait!
Back from a wonderfully (and much needed) fun day with girlfriends!
Sunday was a very busy day as well. We went to church Sunday morning, then went to Time's Grill for lunch with my dad, then we took Lyla home to nap, and finally we went to my Program Manager Julie's Graduation Party. She got her Masters and so we went out to her place to celebrate with her and all the rest of my coworkers! It twas fun!
Here's Ly before church. She let me put a bow in her hair...for a little while at least. It didn't make it to church, let's just put it that way. Here's me and my little sunflower!! I love her more than life!
And finally, I got a picture of Lyla with her little boyfriend at church! His name is Dawson and he is adorable! They run around and chase each other, it's too cute!
Anywho, that was our weekend! Busy, busy, busy!

A little of this and a little of that

I already updated that we went to the game at Tate Friday night (check post below), so now on to the rest of the weekend! :)
Saturday morning I woke up early to get ready and go to the Raising Your Children With No Regrets Seminar with Christi at First Baptist Church. The speaker, Catherine Hickem, was very interesting and definitely gave me things to work towards as I raise Lyla! I really desire a great relationship with Lyla in the future. One in which she can come and talk to me about ANY problem she's having. This Seminar taught me that now I have to start enforcing the behavior I want to see in her when she's young woman. Very interesting stuff I tell you. Anywho, after the Seminar we ate a little McDonalds (thanks Christi, I owe you) and went on home to our baby girls! :) When I got home, Rhett and Lyla were outside playing in her kiddie pool. Okay, so maybe only Lyla was playing in it but they were having some fun! So I put on my bathing suit and joined them! After playing in the pool, we went to the Solutia park. Lyla can walk around now so it's been a bit more fun. Lyla and I went down the slide a couple of times until of course I got real hot and tired. And boy was it hot! After the park we came home and grilled some chicken. Rhett's parents came over and enjoyed a nice home cooked dinner with us. Lyla always loves to see her Grammy and Grandpa!
Sunday morning Rhett and I both woke up at 9:00 am, looked at each other, and freaked! Lyla had not woken up yet! I looked at the monitor and it was still on. I got worried. She ALWAYS wakes up around 6:30 am! So Rhett and I ran in her room and the little booger was still asleep! She was waking up when we came in, but I was in absolute shock! She slept from 8:00 pm- 9:00 am! Definitely the longest she's gone sleeping! Rhett and I were both well rested and apparently, so was Lyla. Anywho, we got ready and went to church on a rainy morning. After church we ate lunch with my Grandparents and my Dad at Chili's. Yum yum! We relaxed and napped pretty much the rest of the day. We did accomplish the laundry and I cleaned out Lyla's drawers so I felt pretty good about that.
Hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

Rhett and Lyla walking up to the park. She's a big girl!

Friday Night Lights

Tonight Tate had their first scrimmage... Crimson vs. Gray. Sounds really exciting right? Hmm, well we make it exciting! :) I will always support everything Rhett does, because we're partners, so Lyla, Rhett's mom, and I went to the game! First we ate at Time's Grill. Mmm, that place is so very good! We love the 3 for $20. An appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert! Awesomeness! After dinner we dashed off to the game. Lyla was such a mess. She walked around the entire game. She even started to sweat! She had a great time. Around 7:30ish Lyla started to get really tired so we decided to make like a tree and leave. Anywho, we had a nice time. That's all. Here are some pics! :)
She loves her fruit! At Times Grill...
Minus the shadow thing on my face and Ly's pot belly, this is a nice pic! :)
The good ole Tate Football Stadium...seems like I'll never get away from that place!
She walked and walked and walked the entire time!
This is a cute picture, Robb's real tall next to Lyla! I love how she's looking up at him...
Uh oh, she got a boo boo! :( And yes, I know I need to trim her nails. They grow like weeds!
My precious angel
She was having a good time putting leaves on Grammy's leg and watching her brush them off. She's so funny!
I love that smile!
Bathtime! We love to play with her bath crayons, as you can see! :)
Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!

What a great Mother's Day! :) It really is amazing how much can change over the course of a year. This time last year Lyla was just a very little baby, barely a month old. Now, she's a walking, talking toddler! I am so very blessed and lucky that she is my baby and I am her Mommy. Whenever she calls me "Mama" my heart just glows. I'm always just wanting to love on her and hug her and kiss her to pieces because I know time is just going to fly by and before I know it it will be Mother's Day next year! And then, soon, she won't want me to hug her and kiss her...soon, she'll be a hormonal teenager and she'll hate me! Ha ha! Soooo, that my friends, is why I am trying to cherish every moment now. She is my sweet and precious angel and I could not imagine my life without her. Also, this Mother's Day I am so thankful for my Mom! My Mom is one of my very best friends and I can only hope that Lyla and I have that kind of relationship when she's an adult. I hate that we live so far apart and I treasure the time we get to spend together, even though it is of course, not as often as we both would like. I love you Mom! Thank you for being the best Mom and Mimi ever ever ever! :)
Here's my sweet heart when we woke her up this morning after her morning nap... she was so very pleasant! I hated waking her up, but we had to go to church!
Here's Lyla and I last Mother's Day! She was just a very little baby!
And here we are now! She's a big girl and I'm blond, again! :)
Outside of church with my baby girl and my rose. They handed out roses to all the moms!
After church, we went out to Rhett's cousin's beach house rental for a Mother's Day celebration! We had an amazing time! We played in the sand and water and just soaked up the rays! It was absolutely gorgeous outside today! Anywho, here's Drew and Lyla... they are like 3rd cousins or something. Drew is Rhett's cousin Mitch's little girl. So Kristi, expert in family relations, how exactly are they related?! He he. :)
Playing in the water...
Playing in the sand and building sand castles!
Rhett and Lyla with his Grandparents/her Great Grandparents...
BEAUTIFUL! The loves of my life and the beautiful beach!
Family of three...
1 + 1 = 3! Ha.
Aww, we love Grandfather and cheese puffs! :)
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you moms out there! I hope you all had a wonderful day as well!
