A Hoppy Easter!

Today was, of course, Easter! We had a great day with family! Ly got an Easter basket from the Easter Bunny (the Elmo basket) and from her sweet Mimi. We went to church and got to see Opa whom we haven't seen in a few days. We missed him! After church we went to Rhett's Aunt's house for an Easter lunch and an egg hunt! Oh yay! Ly also got an Easter basket from Rhett's parent's and these sunglasses were in there. She put them on upside down and we all thought it was hilarious... Here's my sweet family Easter Sunday! Ly standing in front of the Easter decorations...

Ly was ready to hunt eggs! :)

She even found the "tricky" ones!

And when her basket was full, she just started gathering eggs in her arms... I love her...

That was our Easter! I made a post all about Mimi's visit below, so check it out! Happy Easter everyone!

Mimi's Visit!

We were so happy to have Mimi stay with us for a few days! We had such a fun time! Mimi brought us cookies....

And we had McDonalds almost every morning she was here! :)

We really did have a busy few days with Mimi! Mimi got in town Wednesday night and when she did we went to eat at Red Lobster. Thursday we went to the mall and then came home and we all napped and it was so very nice! HA! When we got up, Ly had some major bed head...

After our nap, we played outside alot while waiting for Daddy to come home...

Mimi is in love with her sweet little granddaughter...

After Daddy got home, we headed to The Grand Marlin for dinner! Oh yum! We shared Oyster Rockefeller and it was so yummy!

Daddy loves to help Ly with the children's menu fun! HA! :)

Friday we ran a lot of errands! We went to Target to get some stuff for Ly's Easter, ate lunch with Aunt Val at Tokyo, and then went back to the mall to get Mommy a new hair straightener. Yes, that's right. The chi hair straightener I got 4 months ago died or whatever it does when it stops working. I was p-oed. Needless to say, I did not purchase another chi. Anywho, when we came back from the mall Wesley was hanging out with Rhett so Ly got to see her Uncle Wesley!

They had such a great time playing while Mimi and I watched!

And then Ly stopped to watch too, because boys (especially brothers) can play really rough! However, Ly definitely enjoyed watching her Daddy and Uncle play/wrestle. Friday night we decided to just chill and relax at home. We got pizza and a movie (Black Swan...wayyyyyyyyy weird) and just had a nice night at home... With popcorn of course! :)

Saturday was probably the funnest day! We went over to the Eastern Shore Shopping Center, ate lunch at Olive Garden, and then took Ly to the fountains to play! She (and Mimi) had a great time! I just watched and snapped pictures! :) Mimi filled the bucket up and Ly would run over to me and pour it on my feet! Thanks Mimi! :)

After the fountains, we stopped and got ice cream on the way home! Ly likes ice cream...that's for sure!

After we got home and took a nap, Ly wanted to play tea party! Oh I love how much Ly loves tea parties! She filled mine and Mimi's tea cups up about 30 times (and that is no exaggeration!)...we had a great time being girly! :)
Saturday night we went to Coach N Four for a farewell dinner to Mimi! We were so very sad to see her go early Sunday morning! Hopefully, we will visit this Summer! We love and miss you Mimi!! Thank you for all the fun!

Easter Party!

Today was our church's Easter Party! Oh it was so fun and so beautiful outside! We had a bounce house, a basketball shooter thing (see below), carnival-like games, face painting, snow cones and popcorn (all of which were free), hot dogs, a hayride, bunnies, horse rides, and of course, an Easter egg hunt! Ly had such a great time and did not want to leave! Here are some fun pictures from the event...
WEEEEEEE!
Ly did so good hunting Easter eggs! She didn't want or need our this year. She surely did fill her basket up! :)
Oh, but she does love holding hands with her daddy...
Checking out all her eggs...
I can't believe how much (and fast) she's growing up! This time last year she was just learning to walk!
These two are such cuties! They are friends in the nursery and at course, love to see each other at activities at the church.
Snow cones!
Oh yum, Ly enjoyed it!
Hayride!
And look who's driving....OPA! :)
BUNNIES! Oh my word, Ly's favorite thing there.
She did not want to leave the bunnies. And no, we are not getting a bunny! HA! :) They sure were cute though!
And I just wanted to show y'all what we have in our bushes out back by our garden... baby birds! Obviously they thought Rhett (who took this picture) was their mother because they had their mouths wide open ready for food! How cool is that?!

Make Our Garden Grow

Oh we had a fun weekend! Friday night we went to the Santa Rosa County Fair in Milton and had a good ole time! Anybody who knows me knows I love fairs and well, there just happened to be one going on this weekend. Lyla rode a big green slide with Rhett and myself 3 times! And we looked at wild animals and got to pet tame animals like rabbits, chicks, and guinea pigs. Anywho, I have a video of Ly and Rhett riding the big green slide on Lyla's Blog Page. You can't see her face and she wasn't necessarily smiling on the way down, but when she got off she'd say, "more, more, more"! So we took that as she liked the slide. :) Saturday morning we planted a small garden! That's something Rhett and I have both wanted to do for some time now. It was very inexpensive (like $18 for all the seeds and plants that we wanted) and hopefully, it will pay off in a couple months! We planted carrots, potatoes, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, and cantaloupe. The picture above is the start of the garden. Lyla and I had a good ole time watching Daddy plant stuff! :) And oh my Lord, Rhett is determined to get chickens. He even started building a chicken coupe outside (next to the garden with extra wood we had in the garage). I guess chickens wouldn't be so bad, I was worried about the noise...but roosters are the ones that make all the racket and well, we just want hens and eggs! :)
I love that squinched up smile!
That Daddy, he's a hard worker! :)

Saturday night we met Kristi, her mom, and TD for dinner at a hibachi restaurant in Gulf Breeze! I was so happy to get to see Kristi, even if only for a couple hours! :)

These boots were made for walking....
Such fun! We were all laughing hysterically because at one point during the meal, the chef wanted everyone to catch a piece of cucumber in their mouths. And well, not everyone was very good at it. Myself included! HA! And Kristi had a few tossed her way! :)
Aunt Kristi and shy little Lyla...
I love and miss Kristi so much! It really really sucks that we live on opposite sides of the US!! Fo real!
Sunday we're just relaxing. We went to The Oar House for lunch and now Rhett's working on his chicken coupe. I'll let y'all know how that goes....
