I just don't get it...

When I get bored at work I basically just surf the net and look at all kinds of fun stuff. Often times I like to look at Pensacola Craig's List and check out all the different stuff they have for sale on there. Be it baby stuff, electronics, whatever. I also really like to look at the Pet section as well...not because I'm looking into getting another pet (Lord knows we are going to have enough on our plate when little Lyla comes), but simply because I just love to look at cute pictures of animals. Anywho, when I first started looking at the Pet section I thought I might see alot of puppies and kittens for sale or being given away or alot of ads for animal shelter pets in need of a home. But it seems that 90% of the ads are people wanting to give away their pets...either pets that they've gotten recently and decided they didn't want or pets that they've had forever. And the reasons for their sudden change of heart are horrible!! Now, I'm not talking about moving into a place that won't allow pets or understandable reasons like that...I'm talking about reasons like "I'm taking a full load of classes at UWF so I have to get rid of my dog" or "I have a full time job and don't have time for my cat". I mean seriously, why get a pet in the first place?! It infuriates me. I saw an ad on there for someone giving away a 3 year old Bassett Hound because they "just didn't have the time to care for it anymore". I seriously wrote them an email telling them exactly what I thought. Funny, I haven't heard back from them. I understand that there are definitely circumstances in which a pet may have to be rehomed, but I just can't stand it when people make excuses simply because they don't want to care for them anymore. Soooo, basically I just decided to rant and rave about that on here. That's just the animal lover in me. I suppose I could email each and every one of those ads that annoy me, but that would take all day.

Just a fun weekend!

Have I ever mentioned how much I love weekends? Well, I do. This weekend was just another nice, fun weekend in which we got to spend alot of time with family and friends. Those are always the best. =) Ruco was able to take some maternity pics of me and Rhett (well, not really Rhett...but he was in them!). So I can't wait to see those and post some soon! They really were so cute! And when Lyla gets here, Rae is going to do some newborn shots of her!!! That really will be awesome and I can't wait for that as well! Holiday Trip to South Carolina

Rhett and I just got back from 8 wonderful days visiting my mom and Charlie in South Carolina. We had so much fun the whole time. We both were thinking, "8 days...whoa, that's gonna be a long time", but those 8 days flew by so fast!! It actually felt like we were there for 3 or 4 days or something like that. Anywho, we always jam pack so much stuff into the time that we're there. We went out to eat a few times, shopped (for baby Lyla of course!), did alot of fun stuff (like the zoo and Medieval Times), and basically just hung out. I think my favorite parts of our trip were sitting around my mom's dining room table playing games like Double Dominos or Risk late into the night. I already miss my mom so much. However, we will see my mom and Charlie again in less than 3 months because they are coming at the end of March for a couple weeks to see Lyla! I seriously cannot wait for that!!

I can't believe 2008 is already over!!! 2008 was definitely a great year and just knowing that 2009 is going to be even better just makes me so happy! We can not wait for Lyla to get here so we can make our family complete. My heart just yearns for that moment when we will finally get to see her cute little face! 2 and 1/2 more months!!! YAYYYYY for 2009!
