This is my now...

I'm just sitting here on the couch, watching Jon and Kate Plus 8, and getting ready to grill some wings. Just a normal Fall afternoon for me. Well, granted I don't watch Jon and Kate every afternoon and we definitely don't eat wings every night, but you get the drift. It's just kinda nice when your life just sorda is nice and pleasant. However, recently I got kind of irritated after reading something (and using my fabulous process of elimination skills) that shall remain anonymous and it got me to thinkin' about life and what I want out of it. All I've ever wanted was a simple, happy existence with the people I love. In the past, I know for a fact that I've had a lot of drama encompass my life (caused by me, of course, and others). I've hurt people and been hurt, definitely not the best or proudest moments of my life. I do have regrets and I do wish alot of situations had turned out differently, but my life has ended up right in this exact moment in time for a reason. I truly believe that with my whole heart. However, the one thing that I will never make apologies for is the fact that I have always tried to be as honest about my feelings as I can be. If I love you, you definitely don't doubt it. If I'm sad or hurt, you can probably tell. If I'm happy, I'll let you know why. If I don't like you, you probably already know it. I've never been interested in building relationships with people that I just don't get a good vibe from. That's just the person I am, so don't hold that against me. I'm just trying to make the best life I possibly can for the future of my family. So please, leave me out of anything dramatic. I'm not creating any drama or "asking" for it. I'm not gossiping or writing crap about anyone on here. I just want to sit here on the couch, watch TV, surf the net, sleep, cuddle with my husband, go to work, enjoy my weekends, blog about fun stuff going on, and count down the days until I can hold my baby girl. Sooooo, with that said here's a list of the good stuff according to me:

~FALL WEATHER!! I have been waiting for this for what seems like forever!!
~Turning on our electric fire...it's just so relaxing
~The fair!! We're going Saturday night and I can't wait!
~Jo's in London!! Well, it's not good that she's so far away from me, but I am so happy that she is experiencing the awesomeness of going overseas! I hope to one day! =)
~Bubble baths
~Cooking breakfast for dinner
~Halloween decor, Halloween candy, Halloween costumes....HALLOWEEN!
~Registering for baby stuff...it was surprisingly more fun than registering for wedding stuff. Not sure why.
~All the scary movies that are starting to come on!
~Bedtime...I cherish my bedtime....I could sleep for eternity I think
~Thinking up ideas for the nursery and getting ready to implement them!
~Jo being the amazing friend she is and giving me her free 30 minute photo session with Rae and Wes! How awesome is that?!
~Phone calls from Kristi, they are few and far between but each is cherished.
~Thursday and Friday eating out dinners with Rhett's parents...just because it's football season
~No more puking! Hallelujah!
~French Dip sandwiches, pasta salad, and a slice of French Silk pie from the Deli Case. Yummm.
~Strangers actually noticing and mentioning that I'm pregnant. It always takes me by surprise.
~ANTM coming on tonight! YAY!
~And of course, feeling little Lyla inside my belly! I can't wait for her to kick just a little harder so Rhett can experience it too!

Gotta go cook! Peace out!

I love love love prank phone calls!

This is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long long long time! This comedian's name is Tom Mabe and he pranks telemarketers when they call his house...it's absolutely hilarious! I cried laughing when I listened to this for the first time. There are other ones that he's done, but this is my fav!

They show you what's being said because parts are hard to understand at times...Enjoy!

Aubbie's a lucky dog!

I know I just posted...but when Rhett and I went to Barktoberfest Saturday I entered a raffle to win a doggie cake made by Pensacola Pet Resort here in P'cola and they just called me today and said I won! Soooo, I went to pick it up, took it home, and gave a couple pieces to Aubbie. I did not want to give her the whole thing in fear that I'd have to clean it up off the floor later! But it's a cute little cake and Aubbie loves it! Here are some pics!

Aubbie's cake!!

Aubbie lovesss her cake!! I have to hold her ears so she doesn't make a mess!

Birthday, Barktoberfest, and Pumpkins!!

Rhett's Birthday was last Tuesday (Sept. 30th) so we celebrate "just us" that night and went to The Fish House! Yummm! We sat outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather, fun music, and beautiful view! All I can say is that I am so so so glad he was born 27 years ago!!

The birthday cake I made for Rhett, in Auburn colors of course!

Friday night was of course a Tate Football game, in which they won! Yay! That always puts Rhett in a good mood for the weekend.
Saturday we loaded up Aubbie and took her to Barktoberfest downtown in Seville Square! Oh Lord, I did not get any pictures of the actual Barktoberfest because Aubbie was such a hassle to deal with!! She wanted to say hi to every single dog there!! Poor Rhett's hands were raw from holding her back with the leash! Anywho, it was still fun and I love seeing all the doggies in their cute Halloween costumes! Later that night Rhett and I watched the Auburn game, in which they lost. Rhett was not a happy camper. And that's all I can say about that.

Aubbie and I on our way to BARKTOBERFEST!!

My cool pumpkin shirt!!

Sunday we met Rhett's parents at Mesquite Charlies for lunch to celebrate Rhett's birthday. On the way home we went to Walmart and got pumpkins to carve!! Rhett and I spent the afternoon carving cool little designs into our pumpkins! I had never carved a pumpkin before so I was definitely happy that mine came out descent!! Rhett's Auburn pumpkin was awesome, he did his without a tracer thingy....cause he's too cool for that. =) I can't wait to carve pumpkins every year!

Rhett's Auburn pumpkin and my ghost in a graveyard pumpkin!!

We are so proud of our pumpkins!!

Rhett and his Auburn pumpkin...he is definitely a true-blue fan!
