Oh so much fun!

I just knew this weekend was going to be soooo fun!! Friday night Rhett and I went and ate dinner at Smokey Bones. Yummm. Then we went bowling and had so much fun! Even though I really did fall after making a strike! Ohhh geez, that was embarrassing!

Rhett has some pretty fancy footwork!

Saturday Rhett and I laid out by the pool and soaked up the sun. That afternoon we went to Amy Gail's wedding. It was so beautiful and sweet. Kind of like Amy...hmm, anywho, the reception was so much fun! Kristi and I got camera-happy like we always do and ended up taking over a dozen pictures. After Rhett and I left Amy and Josh's reception, we went home, changed, and went to a movie. We ended up seeing Dead Silence (about the dummy and the ventriloquist) and it actually was pretty scary. Ya'll know me though, I can't resist a scary movie!!

We're testing out the bubbles to see if they work...

Sunday, I went and got my hair done. Yipppee! That's always fun and exciting!! There was a lady sitting next to me getting her hair done too and after my girl got done drying and styling my hair, the lady next to me said, "That's so cute, but my husband would MURDER me if I cut my hair like that"! I simply responded (sweetly), "Awww, that's sad...my fiance loves me no matter what I do to my hair." And it's the truth, I know in my heart that if I dyed my hair jet black, Rhett would look at it and say, "I like it" and mean it. I guess I just lucked out finding my little baby Rhett. Tonight Rhett's cooking for me and he wants it to be a surprise. He's so cute and I am so happy that at least one of us likes to cook. I hope everyone has a great week!

The Foundation of our Future!

The construction has FINALLY begun on our house. AMEN! It has taken them so long, but now everything is in place. The contractor told us the house should be ready and we should be able to close mid May. We are just thankful that it will be done before the wedding. I can't wait. I love Rhett's parents, but there comes a point in your life when you just KNOW that you need to be on your own and start your life. I'm at that point now.... Anywho, the outlook on this weekend is bright! Tonight, a dinner date with Rhett and possibly a movie! My favorite combination! Tomorrow, laying out by the pool and then to Amy Gail's wedding!! And then Sunday I have an appointment with my hair dresser at Dillard's to get my hair highlighted and to discuss possible wedding hairstyles!! Whoo hoo!! Perhaps afterwards Rhett and I will ride bikes or go out on the boat. I told Rhett I want to try and do more things outdoors. My goal is to become more of an active, outdoorsy-type person so that I can fully appreciate the gorgeous weather that has been filling our days! Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Bowling, Bonfires, Beulah Sausage Festival, and Bike Rides! YAY!

I ♥ WEEKENDS!!! I live for the weekends!! This weekend was very nice and relaxing. Friday night Rhett and I saw Premonition, which we both ended up really liking alot. It's one of those movies that makes you appreciate you significant other and it makes you want to tell them you love them every time you see them...because you never know when it will be the last time. Morbid, I know...but that was the whole gist of the movie. Anywho, after the movie we went BOWLING!! Yippee! I love bowling! Even though I am completely horrible! I think my high score was in the nineties, and the sad thing was Rhett's wasn't much better!

Rhett and his bass boat...the other love of his life.

Saturday, Rhett had a fishing tournament all day long. So, I decided to go to the mall and Olive Garden with Rhett's parents. I had so much fun. I told them I needed to get mice for Mimi to play with and they said "fake ones right"? I said, "NO! She likes the real ones the best. I just let them loose in the room and she'll eventually catch them"!! Yeah, Rhett's parent's had horrified looks on their faces! I had to tell them I was just kidding and that I wasn't really going to let mice go in their house. I really do love them so much, like they were my own parents. I am so grateful to have them in my life. After the mall, we went to Rhett's weigh-in and watched him weigh his little fish (they weren't so little actually). Rhett ended up coming in 2nd place! YAY! One day I swear he's going to be a professional fisherman and we're going to be rich!! Maybe... :) if not, we'll be fine. Saturday night we went to one of the coach's houses and had a bonfire for St.Patty's day! Beer, hilarious people, and roasting marshmallows=a good time.

Baby Rhett enjoyin' some country music. YEEHAW!

Sunday Rhett and I went to the Beulah Sausage festival and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and country music. I love festivals, mainly because of all the yummy food! Later that afternoon Rhett and I took a bike ride around a couple neighborhoods. Even though I have a lot I'm stressing about now, I love just being able to hang out with Rhett doing whatever we may be doing (bike riding, bowling, watching movies, etc..) and let whatever is stressing me out sink to the back of my mind.

Mean people suck!!

Mean people suck. It's a simple concept and one that is an unfortunate part of my life seemingly almost everyday. Today I had a run in with a mean person. I was walking across the parking lot to go to Michael's craft store (to get supplies to make wedding favors) and this old(er) man intentionally gets right up on me, rolls down his window, and yells, "DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH"??!! I politely yelled back, "Pedestrians have the right-of-way asshole"! I mean, come on....why did he do that? The car that was behind him pulled up to my defense and said that I should throw my shoe at him, but I thought that might be a bit much. Anywho, I just thought I would share with everyone my ever-so lovely Monday. Other than the not-so-great example of human kindness that occurred in the parking lot, the rest of the day was great. I just don't understand people that make it their life's mission to be mean and rude to COMPLETE strangers. AHHHHHH! By the way, the picture is to demonstrate how sad mean people make me and Rhett. Have a great rest of the week everyone and don't forget to BE NICE!
