Thanksgiving Weekend!

This Thanksgiving weekend was just so much fun and of course passed by way too fast!
Thanksgiving Day Rhett and I ate with my entire family at my Aunt's house and then rushed over to Rhett's parent's house to eat with his entire family! Needless to say, me and Lyla were absolutely stuffed to the rim full of yummy food. And I do mean yummy. When we were at my Aunt's, I got a little bit of everything. Now, usually I don't necessarily like everything I try and I don't know if it's because I'm pregnant, but I loved absolutely everything I put in my mouth! Anywho, time with families is so special to me and Rhett, we had a great time visiting and catching up.Friday I woke up early and went shopping!! I got some Christmas gifts taken care of and I bought a whole bunch of baby clothes too, all of which were so on sale! Then I went back home and slept. That night, Rhett and I met my Aunt Val, Uncle Terry, Karen, Daniel, Mandie (Daniel's gfriend), Luis (Karen's bfriend), and Chris (Mandie's brother) at Cracker Barrel for another yummy meal. We then proceeded to Bellingrath Gardens to see all the pretty Christmas lights!! Oh what festive fun!!

Saturday night Rhett and I went over to the Bass Pro Shop in Spanish Fort and ate at the restaurant there and we also did a little shopping for Baby Rhett who loves him some Bass Pro stuff!!
Sunday was basically just a beautiful relaxing day at home! I can't believe how fast this weekend flew by!! Normally, I would be really sad that the long weekend was coming to an end but I am so excited for next weekend to get here because that's when little Kristi and Ruco come home!!! I cannot even wait for that! I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving!!!

Jo and Twilight all in one weekend!! Whoa!

Friday night I went with Rhett's parents to the Tate playoff football game over in Ft Walton. One of the main reasons I love football season so much (surprise, surprise...it's not because of the actual football game) is because I get to spend alot of one on one time with Rhett's parents. Every Friday night (and alot of Thursdays too) they'd pick me up, we'd go out to eat, and then head off to the game to support the boys (Rhett and Wes). I just love my inlaws, they are so sweet. Anywho, so this Friday night we went to Olive Garden and then headed to Ft Walton, but not before stopping at Dip N Dots in Navarre! =) Dip N Dots, Dip N Dots!! They are my favorite! Even on nights when it's like 30 something degrees! I know, I'm crazy! Unfortunately, Tate did not win against Ft Walton, so alas, their season is over. Now, I am very supportive of Rhett and and I would have been happy if they'd won (for Rhett), but I can't help but be happy that football season is over and I can finally get my husband back!!
Saturday my crazy little Jo Jo drove all the way over from NO just so we could watch Twilight together, which we are both obsessed with!! Jo got here around lunch time so we ate us some good ole Smokeys, then went to the movie (all decked out in our Twilight shirts, of course!), then we went to Hobby Lobby so little Jo could load up on Christmas decorations (I got a couple goodies too!), and finally we ended up at Vallartas for some fabulous food and margaritas (don't worry, not me. I just watched Jo with envy). After our fun day, we went back home to relax a little. We tried to play the Super Nintendo, but sadly our SNES has played it's last game. Jo and I were a little disappointed because we both love MarioKart on the Super Nintendo! I guess we'll never know who would have kicked whose butt! =) So after that small disappointment, Jo and I (and Lyla) decided to make a late night run to Krispy Kreme. MMmmm...Hot Doughnuts. That will make any girl happy!! So, back to Twilight!! Twilight was awesome! Jo and I were definitely satisfied and left wanting more! It had variations from the book, but that was to be expected so that they could cram all of it into one movie! Now I just can't wait for the next book in the series to come out on the big screen!!
Sunday, before Jo left we went to one of the greatest places on earth....Target, where we proceeded to buy some baby clothes and more Christmas stuff!! Oh, girl time is so much fun and something that I definitely cherish.
This Thursday is Thanksgiving and I am so excited to see all our family and eat all the amazing food!! Rhett and I definitely have a lot to be thankful for this year. Since it is Thanksgiving and a time to be thankful, I decided to make a list of the things I am most thankful for:

  • My sweet husband for loving me despite all my flaws. I know that I don't deserve him, but I am so thankful that he chose me.
  • Lyla, sweet Lyla. I am so thankful for the opportunity we have to be parent's to her. She is definitely a gift that will never be taken for granted.
  • Our little pets. At times they can drive me bonkers, but they definitely brighten each and every one of my days. Our house would feel so empty without them.
  • Our families for all the love and support they give us. Rhett and I would not be where and who we are today without them.
  • My great and amazing girl friends. Girl time with my closest friends is something I cherish and am so grateful for. Even though our lives may be going in a million different directions, it's comforting to know that I will always have that support system no matter what.
  • And finally, Kristi comes home in 12 days!! I'm pretty darn thankful that!

Just another relaxing weekend

This weekend was just basically relaxing and lazy! Rhett and I decorated for Christmas, cooked out, watched movies, played the Super Nintendo (yesss...the Super Nintendo!), and just enjoyed the weekend with our little babies, all of whom love lazy weekends as well. Our pretty little Christmas tree!!

Christmas kitty Libby!! And no, those aren't all presents...I wish, but they're just for looks! =)

Rhett relaxing with the babies while playing the Super Nintendo! We just decided to get it out and play a little Mario Kart and Zombie Ate My Neighbors! Fun fun!

Libby and Aubbie love eachother!

My little Libby and the new haircut her mommy gave her! Now she's not quite so hairy!
AND...I am so so so very excited because this weekend coming up, Jo Jo is coming in town and we're going on a Twilight date!!!! I cannot wait!!! =D

Halloween's my favorite!

I just love Halloween! I do realize that it's probably a little weird reading about Halloween when you can obviously see that I've already changed my blog to Christmas, but hey...I love to decorate early. It gives you more time to enjoy the decorations and the holidays. Anywho, back to Halloween (ignore the Christmas music), I opted to stay home Friday night (instead of going to Rhett's football game) and pass out candy to all the little trick-or-treaters! I just love love love that part! I found myself standing at the front door, peaking out the peep hole waiting for them to come up! I was so excited! We actually got a lot more this year then we did last year and I almost ran out of candy! I definitely saw some very cute costumes! One was a little baby in a stroller (with his parents of course) dressed as a little monkey with a banana on his head! His parents said it was his first Halloween! I just couldn't help but get excited at the thought of pushing little Lyla in a stroller next year and going trick-or-treating!! Ohhhh, how fun!! Anywho, after passing out candy, I then proceeded to watch several scary movies! Have I mentioned Halloween is my favorite?! Sadly, I put all our Halloween decorations up Sunday. I always hate to do that because I know that it will be a whole year before I see them again, well actually...less than a year because I do always decorate a couple months in advance! =D Now that I think about it that way, it doesn't seem so bad. Hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween!!
