I have gotten way way behind! Ok, so not too far behind, but Lyla did turn 6 months this past Thursday and I have not gotten the chance to post an update until now! Soooooo many changes with her development have occurred that have stunned me! I just can't believe that she can change that much in such a short amount of time. Let's see, I don't know how much she weighs, but she goes to her 6 month well check-up this Tuesday so I shall post it somewhere once I know. She wears a wide range of clothing sizes, from 3 months (STILL) to 6-9 months. Mostly wearing the 6 month sizes of course. She's still in size 2 diapers. They fit her perfectly, so I'm going to assume that here soon they will become real tight on her. That's how it works. Umm, her hair is coming in slowly but surely. The hair that she does have is getting longer. I can't wait til she has enough for me to clip in a little bow! He he! Oh, and homegirl can eat! So far she has loved everything we've fed her. Here's the list of foods she's eaten: Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans, Peas, Pears, Peaches, Bananas, Prunes, Applesauce, Carrots, and Sweet Potatoes and Corn. We have Squash in the pantry for her, but honestly I hate squash so I'm just thinking she'll hate it too but I will let her try it! That's right, my girl's ready for Halloween! I've been stocking up on Halloween outfits!!
Developmentally she has really taken off! And literally, this happened within the last 24 hours... she started to really crawl! Check out the video over to the left, under my Twitter updates. Not just try to crawl, she crawls! It's frightening actually because now there is no stopping her. I'll put her on her bum, and she immediately gets into the crawling position and goes. She knows she can move now, so it's over for me and Rhett! It just happened all of a sudden really. This morning she kind of got it, then by tonight....she was off, full speed (well, not full speed) ahead! That's what I mean when I said I can't believe how fast and much she can change in such a short amount of time. Anywho, she does pull up on her crib...however, she is not a fan of the standing thing yet of course. She does it more on Rhett's parent's crib than she does here at home with her crib. Who knows why.
So proud of herself...
Whoo, my hands are starting to hurt. Anywho, she giggles all the time now which is so adorable! She loves loves loves Peek-a-boo and a game we play called "Where's Lyla?"! I put a burp cloth over her head and say "Where's Lyla"?! She'll grab the burp cloth and pull it down off her head and I'll say "There she is!" and she'll just giggle and smile! She loves that game! Oh, but one thing with little Lyla is I do believe she is spoiled rotten. She hates it when we put her in her excersaucer, on the floor, in her Bumbo, etc...and walk out of the room (even if for a minute). She will squall! Apparently she loves her Mommy and Daddy. Alot. She had her first babysitter (besides Rhett's parents) this past Saturday (when Rhett and I went to the casino). My Aunt Nancy watched her for a couple hours and then Rhett's mom picked Lyla up to watch her for the rest of the night until we got home. We got word that Lyla cried the whole entire time while she was at my Aunt Nancy's! =( Oh no! We felt so bad! We will have to have a talk with little Miss Lyla. I do love that she loves us so very much, but it does make it hard when she doesn't want us out of her sight! What shall we do?!
"Where's Lyla"?!
"There she is"!!
Okay, so I'll post some more whenever we go to her 6 month check-up. It's time for more shots...poor baby! I hate shots! Plus, I have to get the flu shot too! Ughhh! Oh well, if Lyla can do it, then so can I!
My 6 month old girl! I can't believe she is half a year old!

BTW, I posted #2 below, check it out as well!
