Fishing for kitties...

We had such a nice weekend! Friday night we met the head coach at WF High's family for dinner at McGuires. It was definitely fun getting together with them. We will be seeing ALOT of each other this Fall, so I'm glad I got to meet his wife. We were discussing crazy parents who yell at the coaches during football games and how it's really hard to hold your tongue sometimes. I am definitely guilty of NOT holding my tongue when some parents go a little overboard and yell at my BR! Anywho, even though football season means I won't see my husband nearly as much...I'm still excited about it and looking forward to cheering Rhett and his new team on! Oh, and so is Ly! We're teaching her to say, "GOOOOOOO JAGS!" and "GOOOOOO DEFENSE"!, as her daddy is now the defensive coordinator. :)
Saturday we got so much done in the morning! That always feels so nice! Rhett has been extra helpful around the house (thank goodness!) since I was working some over-time hours at work (which, let me just say...was not for this momma)! Rhett cleaned the entire house spotless Wednesday and I could not believe my eyes when I came home. I am so thankful that he helps me so much! Anywho, back to Saturday....we continued with cleaning up around the house. I folded a MOUNTAIN of laundry (ughhh) and Rhett cleaned the ceiling fan in our bedroom (which was in dire need of needing to be cleaned). After we were all done with chores, we ate lunch, and then all got showered and ready to go to Cayden's 2nd Birthday Party! Brandy (Cayden's mom) did awesome with the decorations, which were Disney in theme! We had a great time! Ly loved the snow cones, the twizzlers, and the cupcakes so much. In fact, she pretty much liked all the food she tasted. She very well may love food like her momma. :) Saturday night we went over to my dad's house and he grilled out for us on his new grill. My dad cracks me up. He does not spend large amounts of money, ever, but he's been eyeing this grill for months and he finally broke down and bought it (when it was on sale...smart man). He's so cute and thrifty. The chicken dinner was awesome!
Here's the cute little Mickey Mouse sandwiches...

Cute decorations...

The candy table... and you better believe Ly and I hit up this table! :)

Ly always loves the kool aids!

And the snow cones... The cute little Birthday Boy...Cayden!

Sunday we went to church. I had a VBS meeting this morning because I'm helping with VBS this year! I'm so excited but also a little nervous. Our VBS is running from 5-8 pm this year...so I'll get off work at 4, pick up Ly, and head to VBS at 5. We won't be home until after 8 pm every night! I have a feeling we will all be extremely tired by the end of this week! After church we ate at Chili's with my dad and grandparents. I love getting to spend time with them every weekend. And now, it's Sunday afternoon and we are just relaxing, playing with our kitties and puppy, watching TV, and fixing to cook breakfast for dinner. I hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

Rhett "fishing for kitties" with Lyla. They were pretending they were in a boat and that that cat toy was a fishing reel. It really was hilarious.

They caught one!!!!

Little Hallow loved playing this fun game!

And yes, Ly got in to it as well! :)

More pics of cute Hallow...
